Every aspect of the wedding planning through the follow-up in the days after the wedding has been a positive experience the event planners did an outstanding job to make everything go well with such a professional focus on detail. We are very happy we chose the Skirvin Hilton for the reception and the hotel accommodations. The hotel is beautiful and provided many areas for guest to comfortably socialize. The hotel management and security were also extremely professional and helpful during a health scare at the hotel. All the food prepared by the hotel was delicious and the plate presentation was beautiful and service was efficient.

Out of all the decisions my fiance and I had to make during the planning process, I would say that choosing the Skirvin was the best one we made. First, the venue itself is just beautiful! The hotel is a landmark in downtown OKC and was beautifully renovated the social events manager there was fantastic. She was incredibly responsive to every little question I had and did a great job of letting me know when we needed to have certain things decided. You could tell she has a lot of experience with weddings and the Skirvin is very lucky to have her. She was easy to work with and was very accommodating.

I would say her expertise was the most helpful on the day before and the day of the event. Our officiant was running a little late for the rehearsal so the event planner stepped in and got the wedding party set up to practice walking down the aisle until she arrived. Then the officiant could just step in once she got there and run through the ceremony. It was very easy and not stressful at all. The day of the event the Skirvin team made sure everything was set up for the wedding party to get ready on site. We had a room for the hair and make-up team for the entire day. The staff at the Skirvin came by regularly to ask questions while setting up for the event and to make sure we had everything we needed while we were getting ready. They anticipated things that I would never have thought of and were very flexible if changes needed to be made.

Then, during the ceremony and receptionthe Skirvin staff was there to make sure everything flowed perfectly! They closely monitored the reception to ensure all of the components happened right and on time. Overall, I would say the Skirvin is a great value for the service we received. Out of all of the venues we saw in Norman and OKC, it was the most beautiful and definitely not the most expensive. I would highly recommend the Skirvin to any bride!

We had a small family only wedding because we wanted to have a destination wedding in Europe, but most of our family couldn't join us, so we needed to have the main ceremony and reception in the states. I had my wedding here at the Skirvin Hotel the ceremony and the reception was for about 40 people. We chose the Skirvin because we were looking for an intimate venue that was classy, historical, and affordable. The Skirvin met all of our expectations.

From the beginning to the end the event coordinators were wonderful and very helpful. We had a budget since we wanted to have both a local wedding and one in Italy. The food, event space, and complimentary suite was excellent. Everything ran smoothly even though it is a very busy hotel with numerous guests, other weddings, and events going on simultaneously, I felt like we got what we paid for. I would recommend the hotel as an excellent wedding venue. Our guests really enjoyed themselves, we had a lunch buffet reception. The food was great and the catering staff was EXCELLENT! They went above and beyond!

The Skirvin was excellent and really made sure my special day was perfect. We had about 250 guests come which the Ballroom was the perfect accommodation. Many of my guests also stayed at the hotel which was very convienent. The wedding coordinators at the Skirvin were SO great and made sure to answer all my questions and timely. It was so comforting to know that I could email a list of questions--however small or big and they would all get answered. They also helped make many of my ideas come to life. They are truly experts when it comes to weddings and understand what works and what doesnt. The catering staff were very open to any special food requests which I loved. Everyone raved about how great the food tasted, how great the setup of the food looked, and that the food was promptly ready when guests arrived. Everything the night of was taken care of and our evening went flawlessly. I can not say enough great things about the Skirvin, I know there were several staff involved that made the night go so great! The ballroom looked beautiful and all my guests had a great time!

We had our wedding reception on the 14th floor of the Skirvin in the Venetian Room on October 9th, 2010. It was amazing! I am still hearing from guests how beautiful it was and how great the food was. The Skirvin staff were a pleasure to work with and I feel that they made every effort to ensure that the reception went as planned and was even more beautful that I could have ever imagined. The staff was quick and efficient as well as friendly. The guests were blown away by the hotel in general...it's beautiful. As for the price...I feel it was a great value. We priced a couple of other places but the Skirvin does not charge for room use (one place we checked was $2500 just to use it!), they only had us choose two courses instead of three as we had a cocktail hour preceding the dinner, and the per person bar package was a value a well. I was forced to choose the 10-20k option but for 110 people to have a plated steak or fish dinner, an open bar for 5 hours, coffe and tea service, valet parking, and all the little extras we ended up spending about 14k including taxes and service fees. Well worth it!!

The Skirvin Hilton is AMAZING! The services they provide are not comparable to any other venue. Everyone is so personal, and they make you feel less stressed knowing your big day is in good hands! My wedding coordinator was super sweet and very easy to get in contact with! She reached out to me every so often leading up to the wedding to make sure I was doing okay, and the wedding week she was super easy to get in contact with in case something came up. Super blessed to have worked with her! We definitely connected which made the planning process a lot more fun. ;) The service was phenomenal! The night before my maid of honor and I got to stay the night in a complementary King Suite at the hotel, and they provided us with free Valet parking and some chocolate covered strawberries and wine for toasting! The night of the wedding, I got to spend the night in the hotel again with my new husband. It was perfect!

I believe the coordinators at the Skirvin sincerely care about their brides. The way they organize things is as close to perfect as you can get. The food was incredible! Service was great! I definitely recommend the Skirvin to any bride that wants the most stress fee venue in OKC - they'll make sure you're taken care of!
